A good Thursday to you!

You’re probably wondering what Three Things Thursday means (well, I don’t presume to know what you’re thinking, but it’s possible).

Anyway, some of my favorite posts that I read on other blogs are ones in which they share different things that they really love–whether it be a favorite new beauty product, some awesome running gear, a must-read novel, television show, what have you, I love hearing about all the awesome things that are out there that I otherwise wouldn’t know about!

#1: Inversion Table


Justin has had an injury since last summer, and one of the things he did while at his physical therapist was inversion therapy. So naturally, he bought his own inversion table.

He insisted that I at least try it out, even though I thought it was weird. Turns out, I love it! It is kind of similar to getting adjusted at the chiropractor–you feel a little bit taller and less tense afterwards. I know it sounds strange, but there is something oddly relaxing about hanging upside down like a bat. Um, but doesn’t all the blood rush to your head you might ask. In my experience, I only felt pressure for the first few minutes the first time I did it. However, always consult your doctor before trying something new:)


Buddy always comes and keeps me company while I’m hanging out upside down. I really wonder what he thinks of some of my shenanigans.

What is inversion therapy?

Inversion therapy is an age-old technique of relieving back pain. This therapy originated sometime during early 400 BC. It involves hanging the body upside down or at an elevated angle. Back pain is caused due to compression of the discs present in the spine. The position of the body in inversion therapy is believed to reduce the back pain because it decompresses the spine. The spine relaxes due to the inverted position and since the stress on the spine is reduced, it eventually reduces the back pain.

  • Increases flexibility
  • Improves blood circulation
  • Reduces muscle pain
  • Relieve stress and motion sickness

Thing #2:Vitamin Code Raw Multi for Women

I recently purchased this new multi-vitamin and I love it so far!


Here’s the deets:

My hair used to always be so dry with split ends, and I felt like it would never grow past a certain length. I settled for the fact that it was because I have dyed my hair so many times (starting with my attractive Sun-In days in junior high–you know what I’m talkin bout)

Anyway, I noticed that my friend Michelle’s hair always looked so healthy and shiny, even though she dyed it just as much as me. Her secret? Moroccan Oil shampoo and conditioner. Even though it’s a little more than I wanted to spend on shampoo (about $22), I bit the bullet and now I can never go back.

  1. Hey serious question, does the blood not rush to your head quickly when you’re upside down like that? I know when I hang off the edge of the bed for even 10 seconds, I’m full on red in the face and need to get back to being level.

    • There will definitely be an increase in the amount of blood flow to the head and pressure that you feel. However it’s actually good to have more blood flow in your noggin every once in awhile:) Also, the body recognizes when it is upside down and adjusts accordingly. In my personal experience, I felt the most blood pressure the first time or two for the first few minutes, but since then it hasn’t been an issue.
